Russell Smith grew up in Halifax and now lives in Toronto. His last novel, Muriella Pent, was named as the best fiction of its year by Amazon.ca, and it was nominated for the Rogers Fiction Prize and the Impac Dublin Award. His most recent novel is Girl Crazy. He also writes two weekly columns for the Globe and Mail and teaches in the MFA program at Guelph University.
